Parents and students had a change of their summer routine last week as students started school again at Tallassee Elementary School.

Students were decked out in new clothes and shoes. Many students including kindergartners and first graders had new backpacks and water bottles on display as they waited to enter the school Thursday morning. Almost all of the younger students had a parent clutching their hands as if they weren’t ready for the next stage in their child’s life.
