On September 7, 2021, Alva Jane Slaughter-Dennis-Curenton, loving mother and grandmother went to rest with the Lord at the age of 82 at Russell Medical Center in Alexander City, Al.

She was born November 30, 1938 in Svea, Florida. She raised two children – Dorman Dewey Dennis, Jr., of Jackson’s Gap, and AnnaMaria Renatta Rives of Dadeville. She also assisted in the upbringing and home schooling of her granddaughter-LeeAnna Rebecca Faith Rives, also of Dadeville.
