This upcoming Friday, Stanhope Elmore will travel to face the Hueytown Golden Gophers. Last week, Stanhope Elmore secured its place in the playoffs after defeating the Wetumpka Indians, 28-19, in a heated rivalry game.

Defeating Wetumpka proved to be a difficult task, almost clinching their chance of entering the playoffs, Stanhope Elmore faces a few walls in getting here. Wetumpka had taken an early lead and attempted to stop Stanhope Elmore's senior running back Dee Barnes from producing yards and quarterback Davis Foshee creating scoring opportunities.
