The Edgewood Academy Wildcats came into the baseball season with high expectations under coach Justin Chandler. The Wildcats have executed on that front, winning five consecutive games through the first three weeks of the season.Â
Most recently, the Wildcats put up two big wins against Lowndes Academy, 17-4, and Macon East, 16-8. Against the Rebels, Edgewood had a consistent offensive effort, totaling 16 hits. Brock Whitt drove in four runs with a grand slam to right field, going 3-for-4 at the plate overall. Landon Smith was perfect in the batter’s box, going 4-for-4 with one RBIs, also leading Edgewood in stolen bases with four.Â

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
To prevent freezing and possible bursting of pipes they should be
wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly.
Those that have in ground sprinkler systems should drain them and
cover above ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
