Edgewood’s season finale didn’t quite go according to plan Friday night, dropping a 25-13 decision to Montgomery’s Valiant Cross Academy.

The Wildcats — who will advance to the AISA’s postseason as one of the remaining Class AA teams — held the ball for most of the first quarter. Edgewood scored on its first possession. Jacorian Bruce broke free on a 38-yard scamper into the end zone for the touchdown.
