Edgewood hosts baseball, softball tournament

The Edgewood Academy Wildcats hosted a handful of AISA competitions on Saturday in the annual baseball and softball varsity tournaments. The Wildcats baseball team split wins on Friday, losing to Chambers Academy, 10-8, and beating Heritage Christian, 7-6. The home team then faced an early exit to the tournament, losing to Heritage Christian on Saturday morning, 5-6. The Wildcats softball team had a similar fate, splitting wins in pool play with a win over Southern Christian, 14-2, and a loss to Macon East, 14-3. Edgewood was eliminated in the first round of bracket play on Saturday, losing to Chambers Academy, 11-1.
