Holtville’s boys and girls soccer teams hosted Tallassee last Monday night, for a non-area competition in Slapout. Monday’s game was the second time the Bulldogs have faced Tallassee, this time as the host team. Holtville took losses in both the boys and girls games, as the Tigers swept the two-game series.

The boys fell 3-1 to Tallassee after starting out the scoring early in the first half. Left winger Gabe Stauffer found the back of the net for the Bulldogs on a run into the box. While Holtville maintained the lead for a majority of the first half, Tallassee struck back with the equalizer in the final minutes of the half.
