On May 7, Alabama Department of Corrections narcotics agents arrested Kelvin Mordricus Gibbons, 39, of Clanton for drug trafficking – methamphetamine, drug trafficking – synthetics, first-degree possession of marijuana, first-degree promoting prison contraband and second-degree promoting prison contraband. 

According to an ADOC release Gibbons was developed as a suspect after correctional staff at Elmore Correctional Facility in Elmore discovered two suspicious packages near the facility’s perimeter fence on January 30. Â
