If someone walked into the Millbrook Fire Department in the last 30 years to now retired chief Larry Brown, they had a high probability of seeing Doyle Campbell.

After 30 years as chief, Brown has retired and Campbell is stepping into the role of chief after the appointment by the Millbrook City Council last week. The role will be difficult for Campbell even with 40 years in the fire service. It’s not because he is not qualified. He’s stepping into his friend’s role.
