Costs of Trial

Cliff Williams / TPI Jason Hudson, 48, of Deatsville, walks into the courtroom of Judge Amanda Baxley for sentencing in a case where he was convicted of the rape and abuse of a child. Baxley said the case did harm to the victim, those who investigated Hudson, and the jury that heard the case.

Images of horror no one should ever see are burnt into the memories of victims. As incidents of child abuse are investigated, more people are affected, just not to the degree of the victim.

One such case was the trial of Jason Hudson, 38, of Deatsville. He was convicted last year of first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, incest, sex abuse of a child less than 12 years old, five counts of production of child pornography and 75 counts of possession of obsence material.
