The National Weather Service issued a slight risk, level two out of five threat, for Elmore County and parts of Tallapoosa County for this afternoon. Meanwhile, Coosa County and the northern half of Tallapoosa County was issued a marginal risk, level one out of five.

For the slight risk, a few tornadoes are possible along with large hail damaging winds up 60 mph. For a marginal risk, tornadoes, damaging winds and hail are possible, but less likely than areas under slight risk.
