Wetumpka has a statewide reputation for producing top-level softball talent. Each and every year, several Indians advance from high school to the collegiate level, capitalizing on the experience they gained from their years in Wetumpka. 

This year, Wetumpka is once again proving its caliber as one of the best programs in the state, with two of its rising seniors selected for the AHSAA’s annual North-South All-Star game. Those were Lexie Smith and Lalah Culpepper.
