Wetumpka tight end John Hudson Wingard caught the winning touchdown at Eufaula with 37 seconds left on the clock. It was his sixth catch of the night, totaling 197 yards and three touchdowns.

This summer, Wetumpka tight end John Hudson Wingard had no plans to return to the gridiron. After a serious injury, Hudson hadn’t even considered going back to football. He was committed to basketball and was seemingly uninterested in going back to the sport. 

Now, he is leading the Indians in receiving yards per game at 78.5 yards with an accumulated total of 471 receiving yards and five touchdowns this season.
