Stanhope Elmore graduate and Auburn freshman Josiah Gilbert won the National Championship with Auburn's Golf team last week. Gilbert and the Tigers beat Florida State, 3-2, in the championship.

Just one year after graduating high school, Stanhope Elmore alum and Auburn golfer Josiah Gilbert is now a national champion.

Gilbert and the No. 1-ranked Auburn golf team claimed the 2024 NCAA Championship on Wednesday after beating No. 6 Florida State, 3-2, in the championship match held at the Omni La Costa Champions Course in the California hills between San Diego and Los Angeles.
