The Stanhope Elmore Mustangs are back after a week off, welcoming a non-region opponent in Smiths Station to 17 Springs this Friday night. 

The Mustangs first faced Smiths Station (1-4, 3-0)  in 1970, losing to the Panthers 35-0 in that first meeting. Out of their 14 total meetings, Smiths Station has the edge over Stanhope Elmore with a 8-7 win record. The Mustangs, however, have won the last two meetings in 2024 and 2021, both in the regular season.Â
