Tallassee persistent in dogfight against Holtville

Lizi Arbogast Gwin / TPI Tallassee's Tiny Green runs the football while being tackled by Holtville's Tyler Hackett on Friday night.

The Holtville Bulldogs traveled to Tallassee to face the Tigers in a war of attrition. After a back-and-forth battle, the homestanding Tigers came away with a 21-14 victory.

Both sides looked to have been playing a conservative style of play early on in the game with neither team able to connect on a big play. Eventually, the Tigers found paydirt with a fade route in the end zone from quarterback Trent Morris to all-purpose back Jordan King for a touchdown with about nine minutes left in the first half.
