20260225 Clock 004.jpg

Cliff Williams / TPI Wetumpka Mayor Jerry Willis cuts the ribbon after the clock on Company was refurbished. The clock has been in downtown Wetumpka for more than a century.

It’s seen soldiers leave for both World Wars, Korea, Vietnam and the Middle East. It’s seen multiple and significant changes over the years, especially with elections. It was there for every second of the Great Depression. It has been a movie prop and more. It has survived floods and tornados. But none of those were its original intentions.

The First National Bank clock on Company Street in Wetumpka has kept time for generations providing a foundation to the community for generations.
