One shift of heroes at the Wetumpka Fire Department had special reason to donate to Joy to Life.
Several are closely related to cancer survivors. The shift of firefighters found a calling when fire chief Greg Willis challenged firefighters to be more involved in the community. Given the connection to cancer, many participated in the Joy to Life Breast Cancer last month. But they wanted to do more.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
Secure outdoor objects.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
To prevent freezing and possible bursting of pipes they should be
wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly.
Those that have in ground sprinkler systems should drain them and
cover above ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
