Turn the tables on obesity this holiday season

We began at Thanksgiving to eat our way through the Christmas season. Food is usually a central theme at family gatherings. Choices are not always healthy, and many of us put on a few pounds as a result; however, we need to look at a growing trend in America that is much deeper than overindulgence during the holidays. Obesity affects Americans of all ages, sexes and racial/ethnic groups. It is a serious health problem that has been growing for more than 30 years.
