File / TPI Stanhope Elmore's softball team is back on the dirt this season after a 8-22 finish to last season and first round playoff appearance.

Despite making the playoffs last season, the Stanhope Elmore Mustangs had an underwhelming softball season overall with an 8-22 final record. This season, the Mustangs have a new coach and are reinvigorated to turn things around.  

The new coach, Ashley Burgin, was brought on board this summer to take over the program. Burgin brings over 15 years of coaching experience, plus years of experience playing softball through high school and college.
