Every team needs an identity, a formula it determines will help it win games, or at least come close. Nearing the midpoint in the boys basketball season, the Elmore County Panthers have yet to answer that question for themselves.

They went out to face Wetumpka on Thursday night, a Class 6A team stacked with talent. The Panthers lost by a 35-point margin, 57-22. This is a steep decline from the last meeting between Elmore County and Wetumpka, when the Panthers still lost but managed to put 50 points on the board.
