PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ballard averages double-double

Ever since he transferred to Wetumpka over the summer, Kaleb Ballard has been making waves with his athleticism. It started with football – his second season playing the sport – when he quickly earned a starting varsity spot. Ballard lined up as a receiver and made highlight reel caliber catches, scoring touchdowns for the Indians. 

Now, it’s basketball season and Ballard is back in his domain. He got off to a bit of a slow start in Wetumpka’s first three games of the season, scoring eight points in the loss against Pike Road, 13 in a win against Prattville Christian and then six points against Prattville.
